Tech Tuesday: DH Helmet vs. Motocross Helmet: Which is Safer?

Now to get real, how many falls on your head are going to be minor? ALL of the times I've gone down head over clips it's been pinned and straight to the helmet. I just question whether a helmet's priority should be little hits when you usually land on something else in those situations... This coming from someone who knows the dynamics behind this question, has been through two D3 carbons and is currently riding a SE2.

Nope on a good day you can get a DH rig on the lifts ;) Faultline is pretty fun. They built a new one last time I was up there I didn't check out. But Faultline is a good one. Some other fun stuff a little pedal away though. A 6" bike is super fun here.

Well for part of it. Then back up to Redding (where my parents moved when I went to college). Since I'm not flying up this year plan to get HELLA biking in during the winter.

Yeah it basically goes from the Env Design building down to the quad, with lots of stairs in between. And I actaully might not be at this week's meeting (or at least not the whole thing) due to something else I have to do during uhour. But if you ever see me riding past (most likely on my green bike) holler at me. Razz

. Also there is a short but fun dh run behind the m lot. mostly strait down but it's all on the ridge line. Also there is a valley behind another one of the parking lot that looks prime for some jumps

You commute to school or dorms? Cause if you do we should train together. And yeah we have a good number of riders who race. The last pres got 3rd in cat 1 xc on a single speed janky trek. And I know one of our other guys got pretty good ranking in dh.
